Aloha! I’m Kai, the founder of Aloha Crate🌺

I earned my Master’s degree in Food Science and built my career in food innovation and product development. Over the years, I’ve studied food ingredients, flavors, and what makes people truly fall in love with what they eat. Through my background in food science, I’ve come to believe that food is more than just nourishment, it’s connection, culture, and joy.

I started this brand because I wanted to bring a taste of the mainland to Hawai‘i, especially all of the Trader Joe’s favorites that are hard to get locally. While many of the items we include come from popular mainland grocery brands, Aloha Crate is an independent small business that simply curates and ships these favorites for our customers.

What began as a small idea in July 2025 quickly turned into something bigger. A way to share joy, comfort, and connection through curated snack boxes. Every item is hand-picked and packed with care, inspired by the spirit of aloha and my own Hawai‘i roots.

That’s how Aloha Crate was born.

My goal is simple. Deliver excitement, variety, and a little bit of warmth with every box.

And with every box purchase, $1 is donated to support Hawai‘i Food Banks, because giving back is part of our story.
